Omokoroa Football Club

Good Morning Omokoroa FC Members!

We're almost all ready to start training sessions - now just awaiting confirmation from local councils that we have access to the fields for training.

To ensure the safety of our players, the club has created a plan for our Return to Football. The "meaty" part of this document can be found below.

- Once training begins, groups must be kept below 10 (9 including the coach). We ask all parents to drop players off and return to collect at the end of each session.

- We will be following Sport NZ guidelines with regards to player hygiene. This includes sanitising hands, and cleaning all equipment at the end of each session.

- During sessions, Coaches will limit the amount of "Contact" drills. There will be no sharing of bibs, drink bottles, and no spitting at any time.

- Training sessions have been scheduled to reduce "over-lapping" of pickups and drop-offs. We are lucky to have so much space - but ask all parents to use the parking areas on Western Ave to drop off and collect. With work on the Pavillion avoid using the car park area by the clubrooms.

- Coaches will record all attendees for contact tracing purposes. These records will be held for 4 weeks.

We hope to have further information with you all soon about the start of training and the commencement date of the season.

MINIS! - Your start date is still to be confirmed as well - and information will follow about this as soon as possible. In the meantime, WE NEED TO LOCK IN SOME COACHING SUPPORT FOR THE SEASON!

All of our coaches are volunteers, and Minis is a wonderful place to get involved in the club and football at an entry level. The most important part of being a minis coach is your enthusiasm and your willingness to a coach, I found these years to be the most fun (if you're a big kid, you'll love it). Get in touch with me to express your interest - Ben ( or contact the Minis Coordinators (Luis and July) through the Minis Facebook page.
